How to Join

Posting on my Substack Chat is dead easy, but it's a private chat so you have to sign up (five minutes).

If you're already on Substack, just tap on INVITE and go to Substack. Follow me (click on the 3 dots) and hit the subscribe button — choose None (free).

If you're not on Substack, just follow these steps for desktop or the phone app:

DESKTOP

1. Click on Substack.

2. Enter your email.

3. Give yourself a name for the URL EG charlotte445.substack.com (if you're name's already taken, just add random numbers)

* SKIP the mailing list question.

* SKIP the subscribers question.

* SKIP interests (the list doesn’t include reading).

* SKIP recommendations.

1. Search the whole of Substack for Special Fantasy Books (having clicked on people underneath) and I'll come up!

2. Click on me, then click on the 3 dots by my name and click FOLLOW.

3. Then click on SUBSCRIBE. Choose NONE (free).

4. Click continue.

5. Click recommend.

6. If you’re comfortable with QR codes great. Otherwise, just click on Browser.

If you're asked to accept notifications, ACCEPT.

PHONE APP

1. Go to the app store or the android equivalent. Search for Substack and download it.

2. Click on Get Started.

3. Put in your email. Sends a confirmation code to that email. Go to your email. Click verify.

4. Pick a username (if your name is taken, just add random numbers)

5. Choose how to receive posts – click on email and app.

6. Click on Allow notifications.

7. Add your phone number. It sends you a code. Click on Verify.

8. Click on Select Contacts Later.

9. Interests. Choose Literature and 2 others.

10. Customise. Untick the top option, then click No Thanks.

11. What brings you here? Click Discovery.

·       Go to search (magnifying glass at bottom).

·       Put in the search bar at the top (search all of Substack) Rosalind Tate

·       One of my posts will come up. Click on it and click on SUBSCRIBE, then None (free).
